Sometimes a business doesn't need training or coaching — it needs someone to actually get in and do the BD. Maybe everyone's too stretched, maybe no one enjoys it and it keeps getting pushed down the list, maybe someone flat out refuses to do it, or there just isn't anyone strong enough in the business to own it yet. Whatever the reason, that's what this is: I step in and deliver the BD myself, working alongside your team as a colleague in the trenches — not as a coach, not as a trainer, not advice from the sidelines.
Recruitment agencies who know exactly what needs to happen in BD, but don't have anyone in-house able to actually do it — consistently, and to a standard that gets results.
I'm not advising from the sidelines here. I'm the one picking up the phone.
A recruitment business wanted onto local council supply frameworks to place temp staff, but couldn't get any of their consultants to prioritise it — it kept getting pushed down the list. I came in, mapped out each council and its likely decision-makers, and started outreach straight away: calls, fact-finding, conversations across different departments. Because there was now consistently someone in the business making this a priority and not giving up, we were approved onto one council framework within 10 days, and a second within 14. The project runs for a year in total, so there's more to come — but the early momentum alone proved what focused, consistent BD can do.
